    Ingredients<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    • 2 cups, whole wheat flour<\/li>\n
    • 1\/2 tsp, baking soda<\/li>\n
    • 2 tsp, baking powder<\/li>\n
    • 3\/4 tsp ,salt<\/li>\n
    • 1\/3 cup, vegan butter, I used Earth Balance<\/em>, softened<\/li>\n
    • 1\/4 cup, water<\/li>\n
    • 1\/4 – 1\/2 cup, soy milk<\/li>\n
    • 3\/4 cup\u00a0packed brown sugar<\/li>\n
    • 1\/2 cup granulated vegan sugar or sugar alternative (I used\u00a0Truvia baking blend)<\/li>\n
    • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract<\/li>\n
    • 2 tbsp, ground ginger<\/li>\n
    • 1\/2 tsp cinnamon<\/li>\n
    • 2 tbsp, vegan cocoa powder (I used dark ghirardelli)<\/li>\n
    • 1\/2 cup, decorative vegan sugar crystals\u00a0or raw sugar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

      Instructions<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      1. Preheat the oven to 375 F.<\/li>\n
      2. Line two baking pans with parchment paper.<\/li>\n
      3. Mix the whole wheat flour, sugar, ginger, cinnamon, salt, baking soda, baking powder and the cocoa powder.<\/li>\n
      4. In a separate bowl, stir together the vegan butter, vanilla extract,\u00a0brown sugar, and water.<\/li>\n
      5. Slowly add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet\u00a0mixture. Stir until well combined.<\/li>\n
      6. You should start to see a moist ball of dough form; however, it will likely still be a bit dry. Slowly add in the soy milk until the dough is coated.<\/li>\n
      7. Once the dough is ready, scoop small golf-ball size clumps of dough and roll into 1 inch\u00a0balls.<\/li>\n
      8. Roll the dough balls in the decorative sugar and place on the lined baking sheets.<\/li>\n
      9. Bake for ~9-10 minutes.<\/li>\n
